Why I don't like running...
There are two types of people in this world...
Those that run, and those that eat donuts.
I prefer walking and eating donuts.
But seriously folks, I am NOT a runner. However, if you asked me to run 3-10 miles I could today.
How is this possible you ask?
I do not train to be a runner, I do not enjoy running, I do not like losing my muscles, but how in the world can I do this?
Let me let you in on a little secret...
I discovered how to program properly to grow muscle mass, while increasing my aerobic capacity (lungs), and shred body fat. *lots of trial and error, I did the experimenting for you*
The problem is that people do LSD and no, not the Grateful Dead type of LSD (Long Slow Distance) running. This has been instilled in our brains from the media, or some gym teacher from the 80's with a mustache and aviators.
THIS IS WRONG.
This is wrong, because most of you that are reading this want to be jacked and strong... or "toned".
LSD burns muscle and keeps fat. Which is why people run all day long and look like Ethiopians.
Compare a sprinter to a marathon runner... Which would you want to look like?
Sprinter. If you said marathon runner, please unsubscribe from this.
If you want to be strong and shredded, while still being able to keep your endurance up the programming is KEY.
You need to always have some sort of strength component in your training. Whether it be power lifting, strongman, Olympic lifting etc...
followed up by carefully programmed metabolic conditioning.
I usually keep mine between 10-20 minutes.
These sessions are intense, and have specific purpose. It will preserve your muscle mass, while burning the fat AND increase your overall aerobic capacity.
Example conditioning session: 15 minutes As Many Rounds As Possible
1 sled push 25 yards down and back
10 Russian kettle bell swings
10 sledge hammers each arm
15 sit ups
If you haven't tried something like this before give it a shot! You will be amazed by how you feel during and after the session.
This will do more for you athletically and physically than running for 30-60 minutes.
If you struggle with figuring out how to program, I have put together a very effective program that includes both strength & conditioning.
All the work is done for you, and the results are waiting! Since you have taken the time to read this I'm going to give you a discount of 50% off! for the next 48 hours. This will change your game completely!
